DAMASCUS- Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sufian al-Alaw denied recent rumors about shortage in all kinds of gasoline quantities or any increasing its prices.
Syrian Minister al-Alaw says that these rumors are baseless and untrue.
"The government has no intention to increase the prices of gasoline… but the reason behind the crisis that occurred during the last days was the bad and cold weather that Syria witnessed which prevented tankers from transporting the material into distribution stations," the Minister told SANA in a statement.
Syrian Minister al-Alaw also clarified that “competent maintenance workshops are mending the pipelines” that cross through Homs, near Baba Amro which will facilitate transportation into Damascus and the southern region.Syrian Government: No Intention to Increase Price of Gasoline
