DAMASCUS- New appointed Syrian Prime Minster Dr. Riyad Hijab inspected Sunday the work mechanism in the directorates and offices of the Cabinet Building and means of improving their performance.
Premier Hijab met Central Directors at the Prime Ministry. Syrian Premier stressed the need for daily follow-up to finish works quickly. He also called for facilitating work procedures and upgrading performance to serve the interest of the homeland and the citizens.
Earlier on Saturday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad issued a decree forming a new government Saturday, but it will be headed by a key loyalist and the foreign, defense and interior ministers kept their jobs. Syria's new government is headed by Riad Farid Hijab, a former agriculture minister and a loyalist member of the ruling Baath Party.
