DAMASCUS- Informed Source told Day Press that 19 years blogger is reported to be accused of spying for the US embassy in Egypt and she gets five years' jail.
Mallouhi, a 19-year-old high school student, had been accused of spying for the United States embassy in Cairo, a charge denied by Washington which called for her "immediate release" on Saturday.
In October, Syrian newspaper reported that the authorities were accusing Mallouhi, a 19-year-old high school student, of spying for the US embassy in Egypt.
Earlier on September DP-News reported that an Official at Duma women's prison had phoned Tal al-Malouhi`s Mother and assured her that her daughter is kept their in well condition. She was held in Duma women's prison as she has been accused of spying.
DP-News, and according to an informed sources, had published on 21st of September that young lady Tal al-Mallouhi (19 years/Homs) is held at Duma women's prison and she has been accused of spying.
Web users users in Syria reported that direct access to Facebook and YouTube, blocked since 2007, was reinstated on Wednesday.
A Syrian newspaper quoted analysts as saying that the removal of firewalls blocking Facebook and YouTube demonstrated "the government's confidence in its performance and that the state did not fear any threat coming from these two sites nor others."
