China opposes outside intervention in Syria's internal issues and expects the international society to play a constructive role in this regard, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu said Tuesday.
"Syria's future should be decided by its people," Jiang Yu said when answering a reporter's question at a regular press briefing.
The statement was made during a press conference by China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu, who affirmed that Syria's future is decided by Syria's people alone.
China reiterated its rejection of external interference in Syrian internal affairs, voicing hoping that the international community will play a constructive role in this regard.
China expects Syria to resolve differences and maintain national stability through political dialogue, which is the right way to properly handle the current situation in the Middle East, Jiang said.
