What would you say about Local Media & Syria Protests?

Syrian Local Media, both official and state owned along with non-official ones, have been tracking the crisis inside country since February. Some said that most of this coverage or almost all of it was to reflect the official point of view. What would you say about Local Media & Syria Protests?

DayPress News seems to be a neccesary local voice. I will be following this site because it gives information of the Syrian protests that I can't get from the big massmedia. There is no true freedom without true justice. Most people want to live peacefully their lives with their family, most leaders want power and control. There is only one answer to stop the insanity of the world. God's Law has to be reinforced. How this shall come about.

The prophet Daniel in Daniel 2 interpreting Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar's dream explained the timeline of dictatorship. Dictatorship weakens over the centuries and is crushed by the rock not made by human hands, the one God. Goodbye, ...!

Sabra and Shatila all over again and the Western Media is telling us Yasser Arafat is responsible. Then the pretext was assasination of Bashar Gemayal to incite the Christian Philangist with the help of Israel was masscare of Palestinians. Now the masscares by Free Army Rebel army is blamed on Assad.

The Syrian people do not want Bashar al-Assad as their country's President, thats why they are demonstrating. What ever it takes, Assad needs to be removed as President of Syria, only than will the violence subside.

AQAP homicide bomber muddied the water so much that now assad can claim to be under attack by outside entity and increase civilian oppression. No end in sight to this insanity. And even if assad overthrown, islamist replacement gov't would screw things up for the foreseeable future. What is it with the Middle East? 75 years of the same bullsh*t. Love it or hate it, One thing that you can't dispute about the West is the political stability caused by secular democracy, get some today.

Syria must allow free access to all media, including foreign media. The truth is usually found somewhere in the middle of the skewed subjective Syrian news and the skewed subjective foreign news. When I see the Syrian army shelling civilian areas I find it hard to believe those women and children are foreign backed terrorists. No proof has been forthcoming.

As a syrian Christain women, I am in support of the current government. You want to talk about Propaganda Lets talk about Fox and thier objective or cnn and their objective. The Usa media is the most non objective news source in the world and if they get the story wrong lets blame it on the source. No one would be held lable so who is telling the truth and who is not. Be real pepole.

Quit blaming Israel&the west, there are peaceful protests all over the world, even in the west. People deserve democracy which simply means"the voice of the people for change or improvement".Try to be a friend to the west, then perhaps you will see we are all humans& we all have good &bad amongst us, but most of the world is GOOD.

Please have the banners written in English too. Non Arabic speakers need to know the truth, this world is flooded with zionist news media and their propaganda to topple the legitimate and humane Syrian government.

Wow, this is the first time I've ever come across an actual organ of propaganda! Quite impressive, it is almost convincing, if one has no access to another other source of information. Hard to see how this strategy can be feasible in an internet/cell phone world. An interesting time-trip, imagine your colleagues in other totalitarian regimes - how you must envy their ability to control information.

A very good article. I cannot read Arabic and this is a useful format. It is not Jews, foreigners or secret agents who are fighting for freedom in Syria, it is Syrians. The lies and disinformation of Syria's propaganda machine is transparent to anyone with a brain in their head. It is my sincere hope that the people of Syria will prevail against the Assad regime, and be able to form a truly democratic state with freedom and human rights, honest judicial system, and civilian monitoring of police. My peace truly be upon them, soon. They are heroes to me.

this is the media war of usa, britain and their partners, and they`ll never give up, until reaching their aims of power over this region, it`s obvious. Another very sad thing is suffering of unguilty soldiers, who do what they are ordered to do, people who have to live in that hell. And those who make all this vakhanalia earn only their mercantile purposes. What insolence!

The first question some should ask about the ongoing foreign sponsored crisis in Syrai is whether such wld be acceptable in the USA, Britain and France. If Syria had made the mistake of allowing CNN, Aljazzera and BBC into her country, as the Libyans foolishly did, present events in Libya would be small compared to what wld have been happening in Syria. This is a media war! Its fought without mercy! Always give us the official version and let us make out judgement.

syrians should continue with protests, otherwise the sacrifice of thousands would go down the drain and their legitimate rights forever will be trampled.

I am in favour of secular government without religious interference. I also support self-determination without external political and military interference. It appears that Syria suffers from external interference from groups who wish to mix religion with politics, and I cannot agree with that. WHile I regret the violence, I respect the right of Syrians to fight armed groups whose weapons must come from external sources. Now the Syrian government needs to find a political solution - and it is becoming urgent, before the country falls into a state of civil war.
